METHOD OF HERMETICALLY JOINING GLASS CERAMICS WITH METALLIC PART Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: ceramics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for hermetically joining vitrocrystalline monoblock of annular laser gyroscope with aluminum electrode. Method comprises imposing electrical voltage between glass-ceramic block and metallic part. Before mounting part on the glass-ceramic block, matching surfaces of the block are brought to roughness class not lower than Rz 0.1 and optical frequency not lower than PIII, whereas matching surface of the part is brought to roughness class not lower than Rz 0.4. Monoblock and electrode are interconnected at reduced pressure (6.0-7.0)·10-7 Pa and temperature elevated to 300-400оС, while simultaneously imposing constant voltage 950-1050 v over a period of 25-35 min.

EFFECT: increased stability of joint within a wide temperature range.
