FIELD: rocket engineering. SUBSTANCE: process of machining of parts of cathode units of jet engines consists in mechanical machining of parts made from precision alloys, titanium alloys or magnetically soft steels, in their abrasive working with formation of roughness class Rz=35-150 μm, in thermal oxidation at temperature from 580 to 720 C in the course of 30-90 min followed by subsequent assembly of unit and joining of unit parts to insulator with use of vacuum brazing at temperature of 1000-1150 C and subsequent tempering below oxidation temperature. EFFECT: improved thermal and radiation characteristics - absorption factors of solar radiation and degree of blackness, reduced labor input into manufacture and machining, simplified process of machining. 4 cl, 3 dwg
