FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has hollow body having narrowing working end, handle and tube mounted in the device body. The end and lateral surface of the tube are separated with space. The device body flattened cross-section. Maximum and minimum sizes of the flattened cross-section are approximately equal to 1/3 of maximum and minimum size of spinal process of a vertebra in frontal plane. Ribs are available on external surfaces of the device body of total surface area being equal to not less than 1/1 of total area of external device body surfaces. The handle is mounted on device body with axial displacement and fixation being allowed, and has end face. The end face allows to be adjacent to the spinal process of a vertebra.
EFFECT: improved engagement of working members of the instrument; improved results of surgical intervention.
