FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, and can be used for determining the surgical access area to the C1-C2 vertebral area in endoscopic transnasal surgery. Method includes constructing a tomographic image on a midline in the sagittal plane of two straight lines. For this purpose the first straight line is performed by connection of nasion and back edge of hard palate, the second straight line is by connection of nasion and lower edge of slope. Surgical access zone is defined between the first and second straight lines.
EFFECT: method provides more accurate selection of access to a pathological focus in the cranio-vertebral articulation due to geometric constructs.
