FIELD: separation of isotopes.

SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a device for separation of isotopes and may be used for excretion of isotopes from their natural mix. The device contains a vacuum chamber 1, in which there is a source 2 of isotope ions, a separator 5, a receiver of heavy isotope ions 16 and a receiver of light isotope ions 17. The separator 5 has a wide and a narrow parts. In the ionization chamber 3 of sources 2 molecules of separated isotopes are ionized. Isotope ions are drawn out by an electric field between electrodes 4 and are directed to the separator 5 formed by the lamellar elements 6, 8 and 7, 9 and an electromagnet 10 with the pole terminals 12 and 13. The lamellar elements 6, 8, 7, 9 are made out of sections of concentrical hollow cylinders and linked electrically to form an electrical barrier. They are located between the source 2 and the electromagnet 10. The electrical barrier is diminished in direction of the isotopic ions traffic from electrodes 4 up to terminals 12, 13. Less energetic ions descend from a circular trajectory to a rectilinear trajectory and form a band-type beam. For further separation of the band-type beam they create a magnetic barrier between the pole terminals 12, 13 of a magnetic conductor 11 with the help of electrical reels 14 and 15. The beam of the heavy isotope ions arrives in the receiver 16, the beam of the light isotope ions goes to the receiver 17. The invention allows to extract the given isotopes selectively from their natural mixture, to increase selectivity of separation.
