FIELD: carbon materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention aims at manufacture of sorbents, for which fulleren-containing material is mixed with activated charcoal powder at weight ratio (10-50):100. Fulleren-containing material can be a mixture of fullerens with pyrocarbon or carbon black. This composition is further supplemented by aluminosilicate or quartz in amounts 10-20 wt parts per 100 wt parts of activated charcoal. The total is stirred until homogenous mass is obtained, which is compacted under pressure 20 to 90 MPa to produce granules with density 1.26-1.49 g/cm², summary pore volume 0.27-0.41 cm⁴/g, absorption capacity 83-100% when sorbing heavy metals, specific surface 360-495 m²/g.

EFFECT: achieved neutrality of sorbents with respect to solutions and assured environmental safety.
