FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, equipment for charging of burden into shaft furnace.

SUBSTANCE: charging apparatus has feeding funnel, accumulating hopper with gas-tight valve, rotor-type burden distributing device, central burden funnel, and bladed rotor. Gas-tight valve is made in the form of casing having hole with cover. Branch pipe and sealing disk are disposed in hole. Branch pipe is equipped with seat. Sealing disk is fixed on lever connected through two pivot hinges with forks attached to ends of rotary shafts of mechanisms for retracting and rotating of disk, said shaft axes extending in mutually perpendicular relationship. Axes of pivot hinges of disk lever are also extending in mutually perpendicular relationship. Seat and disk are arranged so as to disconnect seat from branch pipe and connect it to disk by means of easily detachable bolts for subsequent replacement of worn disk and seat through hole in gas-tight valve casing.

EFFECT: increased service life of gas-tight valve.
