FIELD: metallurgy, namely, gas-tight valves of charging apparatuses of blast furnaces. SUBSTANCE: gas-tight valve includes sealed housing in which branch pipe with seat and sealing disc secured to lever are arranged. Lever is joined with mechanisms for rotating and displacing disc having rotary shafts whose axes are arranged in the same plane and are mutually normal. Rotary shafts are mounted in bearing assemblies of housing and they have arms directly driven to motion, for example by means of hydraulic cylinders. Lever has fork-like protrusion whose groove is in constant engagement with lateral faces of dent secured to end of rotary shaft of mechanism for rotating disc through hinge. At displacing disc, axis of hinge coincides with axis of rotary shaft of mechanism for displacing disc; at rotating disc, lateral faces of dent engaging with groove of fork-like protrusion are arranged normally relative to axis of rotary shaft of mechanism for rotating disc. EFFECT: improved design of valve providing minimal sizes of valve height and width, lowered height of charging apparatus and enhanced reliability of valve operation. 2 dwg
