FIELD: mechanical engineering friction and wear testing machines; study of tribological characteristics of liquid organic lubricants.
SUBSTANCE: proposed friction machine has immovable and movable specimens with reciprocating drive which are enclosed in hermetic chamber. Hermetic chamber is divided into two testing cells isolated from each other. Reciprocating drive of movable specimens of two testing cells operate from one crankshaft. Immovable specimens are rigidly secured in self-setting holders of each testing cell. In wear testing mode, movable specimens are secured to rod of piston set in reciprocating motion relative to immovable specimens by means of said crankshaft and in mode of determination of friction force, testing cells perform oscillations on flat spring. Each friction pair in testing cells is provided with collecting and discharging system for used lubricant.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of determination of effect of each factor on wear process.
