FIELD: methods of definition of availability of engines, machines and gears.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with the methods used for definition of availability of engines, machines and gears by characteristics of metallic particles of wear detected in oils, combustibles and special liquids. The method consists in the following. They take probes of wash-outs from the basic oil filter for example - МФС-30 and ЦВС-30 signaling, introduce a probe as an aerosol in a spectral light source with a speed, providing with the given probability a separate in time registration of signals from each particle of the probe, register optical signals of radiation simultaneously in two or more measuring channels, transform the optical signals into electrical signals, measure them, obtain information on particles sizes and their structure, determine their element composition. The received results are used for assessment of availability of the engine and its units. On the base of these data they define the derivative basic diagnostic parameters, calculate rating of particles of wear as an amount of particles of the definite grade per 1000 particles and compare the rating of the basic diagnostic parameters of the analyzed engine with a reference and with allowance for comparison make a conclusion on the availability of the examined engine. The invention allows to increase reliability of the method.
