FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: uranium ores are processed according to scheme comprising crushing and grinding of ore, sulfuric acid leaching of ore pulp, sorption recovery of uranium, desorption of uranium, extraction of uranium from desorbates with extractant mixture, solid-phase re-extraction to isolate ammoniotriuranyl-tricarboxylate crystals, filtration separation of the latter, and calcination giving natural uranium oxides. Working extractant mixture saturated in the course of extraction is treated with concentrated uranium solutions containing 50-100 g/L uranium at organic-to-aqueous phase ratio (3-5):1 and acidity of solution corresponding to pH 1.0-2.0. Concentrated uranium solutions in the operation of additional saturation of extractant mixture are used in the cycles in a repetitive manner until uranium concentration in solution drops below 10 g/L.
EFFECT: increased quality of uranium oxide product.
