FIELD: measuring engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method includes exciting electromagnetic field in the fluid, measuring electromotive force induced at the terminals, measuring the value of magnetic induction excited electromagnetic field and ratio of the value of magnetic induction measured during operation to that measured during calibration. To realize the method the electromagnetic transducer is proposed, which is made of a pipeline made of nonconducting and nonmagnetic material interposed between the poles of the electromagnet and electrodes mounted in the direction perpendicular to the direction of force lines for permitting a contact with fluid. The transducer is provided with the pickup of magnetic induction which is mounted for permitting magnetic coupling with the electromagnetic field.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements.
