FIELD: nuclear power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: level gauge has emitter and receiver of electromagnetic radiation housed in the protective envelopes and submerged into the fluid to be monitored. The emitter and receiver are made of coaxial solenoids, the outer and the inner ones being emitter and receiver, respectively. The radial thickness of the ring gap between the protective envelopes of the solenoids should be greater then the depth of attenuation of the electromagnetic radiation for a given value of current in the emitter, with taking into account the conductivity of the fluid.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements.
