FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: level gage contains an exciting coil connected to a constant-frequency generator and a measuring coil connected to a digital-to-analogue level calculator. Both coils are made as a row of solenoids made of a multiconductor cable and fixed inside a protective cover. A part of cores in each solenoid forms the exciting coil while the remaining cores form the measuring coil. A heat-resistant, thermocouple or heating cable in a steel tight shell with mineral insulation of cores may be used as the multiconductor cable.
EFFECT: suggested level gage has simpler design at the maintenance of high metrological characteristics and long-term operational life.
