FIELD: nuclear power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: level gauge has emitter and receiver of electromagnetic radiation which are made of elongated rectangular frames housed by a protecting shell and submerged into a tank filled with the fluid to be monitored. The winding of the receiver is mounted in the winding of the emitter in one plane. The thickness of the layer of the fluid between the windings of the receiver and emitter should range from two to five depths of the electromagnetic radiation attenuation for a given frequency of current supplied to the winding of the emitter and mean conductivity of fluid within the operation temperature range.
EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity.
