FIELD: laser engineering; high-brightness and high-power pulse lasers operating in modified spiking mode.
SUBSTANCE: region is separated at cavity output of laser incorporating two flat blind mirrors and two energy leads, this region residing opposite one of field segments of higher transverse laser radiation mode and characterized in energy transmission factor much higher than that in region of other field segments. This region is separated by partial coverage of active element aperture in the course of crosswise displacement of second mirror relative to cavity axis or fully absorbing diaphragm installed closer to second mirror.
EFFECT: enhanced spiking power, simplified design, reduced size and response to maladjustment.
