FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device designed for charged particle generation in the course of aeroionization, electric gas cleaning, electric precipitation, and electrical energy generation has steam boiler holding grounded conducting liquid, vent valve, heater, and power supply. Set of insulated conductors is disposed above surface of liquid heated to boiling temperature. Ions accumulate on surface of this set of conductors and in cloud about them. Vent valve opening and liquid boiling makes some ions come off conductor surface and they are carried away together with cloud by flow of neutral molecules of boiling liquid steam. Set of insulated conductors can be assembled of electrically interconnected insulated-wire nets.

EFFECT: enhanced spatial-charge density of unipolar charged gas.
