FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: device has principle and auxiliary surface connected to each other with additional frontal, back- and two lateral vertically arranged surfaces forming cavity. The frontal and back vertically arranged surfaces have groove-like recesses. Method for fastening prosthesis involves introducing the obturator prosthesis into the oral cavity for breaking communication between the oral cavity and the nasal cavity. Place for transferring soft inlay is prepared on prosthesis grooves. The prepared place is cleaned and smeared with adhesive material. The soft inlay is set and the obturator prosthesis is introduced into the oral cavity with its distal part so that obturator prosthesis back groove catching upper edge of the soft palate. The upper lip and nose base are pulled aside in supporting the obturator prosthesis, respectively. The prosthesis is pressed and the upper lip is left so that upper lip muscles enter the anterior groove of the obturator prosthesis. Tight but free adjacency of chicks to lateral surfaces of the obturator prosthesis forms reliable valve in the obturator prosthesis. The obturator prosthesis is left in the oral cavity for soft inlay polymerization time. Soft inlay polymerization being over, the obturator prosthesis is removed from the oral cavity and excessive quantity of soft inlay is removed.
EFFECT: simplified method of high reliability; reduced risk of traumatic complications.
