FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to orthopaedic dentistry, and can be used for making a replacement prosthesis-obturator of a hard and soft palate with a hollow obturating part. Using 3D scanner, a virtual model of a jaw and a defect of the hard and soft palate is obtained, and a computer tomogram of the jaws is obtained using a cone-beam method, and the obtained data are compared in a simulator program. Obturating part of the prosthesis is modelled in accordance with the defect, with a wall thickness of 1 mm on an upper and an internal surface, thickness of 2 mm on a buccal surface and three retention projections along the perimeter of the obturator. Base with teeth and recesses is modelled in accordance with the retention projections on the obturating part; parts of the prosthesis are matched in the modelling program, and the occlusal relationships are checked and corrected. Denture parts are made by additive method from polymer for 3D-printing of dentures of corresponding colour for teeth and basis. Parts of the prosthesis are combined and connected using polymer for 3D printing in a polymerisation chamber for light curing; the prosthesis is ground, polished and fitted in the patient’s oral cavity.
EFFECT: reduced weight of the orthopaedic structure, higher accuracy of conformity with the prosthetic bed while reducing the manufacturing time.
