MEDICINAL MULTILAYER BANDAGE AND ARTICLES BASED ON SUCH BANDAGE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, in particular, multilayer combined bandages for rendering first aid and curing wounds of different etiology, including blooding infected wounds, wounds resulted from radiation traumatic injuries, for closing of donor regions and wounds after surgical intervention.

SUBSTANCE: bandage has layer of biodegradable film material based on polysaccharide complex of alginate and chitosan, said layer being applied onto reinforcing atraumatic netted material, with at least one immobilized medicinal substance; layer of microfibrous material with immobilized powdered sorbent possessing selective sorptive capacity with respect to radio nuclides and heavy metals; at least one layer of absorptive nonwoven cloth stitched material with immobilized biologically active material thereon; outer layer reverse with respect to layer facing wound and based on nonwoven oxygen- and steam-permeable, hydrophobic moisture-permeable material. Bandage is adapted for hemostatic action, and has absorptive capacity of up to 32 g/g.

EFFECT: increased antimicrobial and local anesthetic effect, selective sorption of radio nuclides and heavy metals, improved oxygen- and steam exchange in wound, increased moisture and microbe-impermeability, improved adhesion to wound surface and provision for preventing wound infection from outside.
