FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed brake pneumatic booster with selective and regulated braking force has rigid housing accommodating movable airtight partition forming front and rear chambers, pneumatic piston moving together with partition and plunger arranged inside piston. Plunger is moved by control rod and it controls three-way valve. Booster is provided also with force transmitting device which takes up and transmits force assisting in braking by means of which second pressure Pa is built in rear chamber when valve has operated. Holding device is arranged in front part of plunger which connects front part of plunger with pneumatic piston. Holding device of pneumatic booster is made in form of single-acting locking device. If speed of control rod exceeds preset value, holding device transmits braking force to force transmitting device irrespective to position f control rod and rear part of plunger moved by pneumatic piston.
EFFECT: provision of high braking force after pressing on brake pedal and locking of brakes.
