FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to set for assembling components of pipe, particularly, housing with belts. Proposed set includes line housing conveyor, transporting system and assembly unit for fastening belts to housing, all installed in tandem. Transporting system is designed to change orientation of housings through approximately 90°. Said transporting system consists of device for gripping housing and device for changing orientation of housings. Device for changing orientation includes turnable conveyor installed at right angle to direction of movement of line conveyor. Turnable conveyor has conveyor belt with angle of belt setting approximately 45° relative to direction of movement of line conveyor. Conveyor belts includes housing holding members. Configuration of said members is such that housings, first, are gripped at one side of turnable conveyor parallel to direction of movement of lien conveyor. At displacement to other side of turnable conveyor, orientation of housing changes through 90°. Invention contains description of method of control of proposed pipe components assembling set.

EFFECT: increased speed of pipe handling, improved reliability of assembling set in operation.
