FIELD: industrial organic synthesis.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for removal of sulfite compounds from water-soluble sulfurized triarylphosphines, which consists in at least partially removing sulfite compounds when reducing pH of original compound solution to a value below or equal to 4 and maintaining this pH value until weight percentage of sulfite in solution attains value below 100 ppm.
EFFECT: avoided destruction of triarylphosphines when used as catalysts or as catalytic system ligands.
