FIELD: radio detection and ranging, applicable in radar complexes for detection and location of air objects.

SUBSTANCE: the method consists in the fact that a sounding radio signal is emitted, at the same time a signal from the transmitter of random-modulated signals and an echo signal reflected from a reference landmark with known co-ordinates are received for their correlation processing and determination of the location of the transmitter of random-modulated signals. Then, simultaneous reception of a signal from the transmitter of random-modulated signals and an echo signal reflected from the air object is performed for their correlation processing and determination of the location of the air object.

EFFECT: enhanced range of detection of air obejcts at an action of a high-power active interference.
