FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has cup manufactured from biocompatible material having holes, hemispherical external surface and concave internal one having ring-shaped groove and insert manufactured ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene which external surface is congruent to internal cup surface and has trapezoid radial protrusion engageable with ring-shaped cup groove. The insert is manufactured from ultra-high molecular material. The ring-shaped groove has rectangular cross-section which elastic modulus is not less than 0.65x103 mPa. Ring-shaped groove has rectangular cross-section. The radial protrusion is elastically engageable with the ring-shaped groove and conical portion of the internal surface of the cup positioned behind the ring-shaped groove and having sharp corrugation.
EFFECT: prolonged service life; simplified manufacturing process.
