FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: device for acoustic (wave) supercharging of internal combustion engine contains intake pipeline, branch pipes laid to cylinders and sound radiator. At least one sound radiator is built into intake pipeline, being connected with electronic control unit and it radiates sound into intake pipeline space when charge of gas-air mixture gets into engine cylinder at intake or at rarefaction near exhaust valve at end of discharge when valves close. Additional valve is installed in cylinder head channel before intake valve whose position is fixed by sensor connected with electronic control unit. Said additional valve cracks at beginning of intake cycle and then opens fully. Number and arrangement of sound source(s) are determined experimentally depending of particular intake system. Sound source can be made in form of loudspeaker.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of supercharging of internal combustion engine.
