FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining quantitative composition of short-chain fatty acids of C2-C6 fractions with isomers in blood serum and feces. Propionic acid, butyric acid, acetic acid percentage in total content of C2-C4 higher acid sum containing 3-6 carbon atoms with isomers, isoC4+isoC5+isoC6 isoacid sum and percentage of isovalerianic acid in total content of C2-C6 are determined. Lactulose preparations or a preparation from hepatoprotector group showing combined activity spectrum like sorption and hepatoreactive properties or hepatoprotective means given in maximum therapeutical doses, or preparations influencing process of rendering ammonia harmless in liver and muscles and/or preparations binding NH3 in blood are administered.
EFFECT: differentiated approach to treatment.
