FIELD: battery-powered mobile stations.
SUBSTANCE: inactive state mode of mobile power station can be varied as follows: inactive state cycle can be optimally varied depending on one or more conditions related to mobile station operation. Invocation variable depends on and is used for setting time moment basing on one or more of these conditions when mobile station is automatically switched over from low-power operation to higher power for page reception. Mobile station invocation variable is sent to radio link access network and to one or more base networks to coordinate communications and services with mobile station operation.
EFFECT: extended life of batteries and improved other factors for enhancing their performance characteristics.
