FIELD: forging press manufacture, namely development and improvement of hydraulic drives of different-designation manufacturing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: pulsation type hydraulic drive of radial forging machine with strikers driven by means of hydraulic cylinders includes apparatus for overload prevention in the form of pneumatic-hydraulic accumulator. Liquid cavity of said accumulator is communicated with powered hydraulic line of pulsation type hydraulic drive through intermediate device. Gas cavity of accumulator is connected with safety gas valve and with pressure control apparatus. In liquid passage of bottle type accumulator there is valve with normally open flow-through cross section. Spring-loaded gate of valve extends outside its seat into liquid cavity of accumulator. Intermediate device includes successively mounted metering unit. Normally closed hydraulic line designed for charging accumulator with working liquid is connected to hydraulic line between liquid cavity of accumulator and metering unit.

EFFECT: lowered labor consumption for maintaining hydraulic drive, improved reliability of prevention pressure overloads of hydraulic drive.
