FIELD: forging equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forging and pressing equipment and can be used in hydraulic press control systems. After completion of the working stroke of the traverse 11 of the hydraulic press, the supply of working fluid to the working cavities of the working hydraulic cylinders 1, 2 of the traverse stops. The working cavities of the return hydraulic cylinders 3, 4 are separated from the hydraulic tank 10. Then the working cavities of the working hydraulic cylinders are unloaded from high pressure in two stages by connecting them at the first stage with the working cavities of the return hydraulic cylinders 3, 4 until the pressure values in these cavities are aligned with a given error. At the second stage, the working cavities of the working hydraulic cylinders after disconnecting from the working cavities of the return hydraulic cylinders 3, 4 are connected to the hydraulic tank 10. The reverse course of the traverse is carried out.
EFFECT: as a result, an increase in the number of strokes of the press traverse per unit of time is ensured by combining in time the first stage of unloading the working cavities of the working hydraulic cylinders after the end of the working stroke and the stage of using part of the potential energy accumulated during the working stroke of the traverse.
