FIELD: information carriers engineering.
SUBSTANCE: information carrier has a track for consecutive recording of information elements in addressed cells, where information is presented on track by a series of marks having various run lengths. Information to be recorded on track is presented as series of marks of various run lengths between minimal run length and maximal run length and synchronizing combinations of marks, and these combinations do not match in marks series and contain at least one long mark of at least maximal run length. At least one information element is coded in modulated signal containing signal components matching respective marks. Track is scanned for link position before one selected cell of said addressed cells, and modulated signal is recorded from link position. Modulated signal is based at start and/or at end by signal communication component, appropriate for mark with, at the utmost, minimal run length.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
