Record medium has pre-organized servotrack affording periodic track modulation at frequency modulated according to position-information signal. The latter includes position code signals alternating with position synchronizing signals. Fixed phase dependence between time synchronizing signals and position synchronizing signals is maintained in the course of recording so that servotrack section used for recording time synchronizing signals is in fixed position relative to its sections for position synchronizing signals.
