FIELD: optical recording technologies, engineering of optical data carriers.
SUBSTANCE: data carrier contains servo-track, pointing at information track, meant for recording information blocks represented by marks, having lengths, expressed in channel bits. Servo-track has wobble, being a periodical variation of physical parameter, while servo-track makes up a concentric or spiraling pattern of practically parallel tracks. Step t of track and period p of wobble, while p is the length of wobble period, are selected so that 2πt/p≈n+1/2, where n is an integer number.
EFFECT: decreased wobble pulsations.
