FIELD: gas treatment.
SUBSTANCE: object of invention is fine cleaning of gases in order to remove carbon dioxide at elevated pressures, in particular in hydrogen and ammonia production. Absorbent contains 35-45% N-methyldiethanolamine, 2-10% piperazine, 0.5-3.0% potassium carbonate, and additionally 0.5-5.0% aniline. Absorption is not accompanied with strong carbonization: up to 0.1 mole CO2 per 2 mole tertiary amine.
EFFECT: lowered equilibrium pressure and raised carbon dioxide absorption rate al low carbonization degrees.
