FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in exhaust systems of internal combustion engines. Proposed welded manifold contains connecting flanges connected by several pipes of different length. Pipes are manufactured of materials with different linear expansion coefficients. Longer pipes are made of material with smaller linear expansion coefficient, and shorter pipes, of material with larger linear expansion coefficient. Pipes are made up o separate branch pipes made of solid cut of thin-walled heat-resistant tube. Radii of bend of branch pipes of longer pipe are from 1.8 to 2.2 of diameter of branch pipe in place of bending.
EFFECT: provision of nonexpensive and compact exhaust manifold reliable in operation.
