FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to control internal combustion engine with distributed successive injection of fuel and spark ignition. According to proposed method of engine stopping, fuel injection is continued after sensing of order to shut down the engine. Injection is continued only in those cylinders in which injection has not been completed at moment of supply of shutdown order. Designed portion of fuel to said cylinders are injected, and spark discharges are formed in cylinders until working cycle in all cylinders of internal combustion engine is completed.
EFFECT: reduced pollution of ambient atmosphere.
