FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the control of the temperature mode of the engine when the cylinders are disengaged. Disclosed are methods and system for improvement of engine temperature monitoring. Cylinders intended for disconnection can retain exhaust gases due to retention of outlet valve closed in previous ignition cycle.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of soot content in the exhaust gases due to maintenance of the specified temperature mode of the engine operation.
