SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for adjusting spark ignition energy in an internal combustion engine, configured to directly inject fuel into the intake channel by fuel type. Provided are the methods and systems to improve the reliability of spark ignition. Spark ignition dwell commands are adjusted based on the fuel fraction delivered by direct injection relative to the injection into the intake port. This approach gives the ignition impact the ability to better meet the ignition requirement of a given fuel combination.
EFFECT: ensuring reliable combustion with the minimum energy consumption.
