SUBSTANCE: device has laser emitter with detector, placed on manipulation system, program control block in form of computer, connected to manipulation system. Manipulation system is made in form of platform, drive of which is made with possible rotation of platform in horizontal plane with discontinuous step, and on platform a distance meter is placed, made on basis of emitter and detector, with possible discontinuous change of position in vertical plane, outputs of program control block are connected to distance meter control drives, while platform is provided with mechanism for fixing itself inside checked cargo objects.
