FIELD: medical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device has flat bed on supporting members having backs. The flat bed is shaped as rounded rectangle with crosspieces and longitudinal sleepers. Bed back has irregular members for increasing rigidity. The crosspieces are made of straight metal tubes having not less than 0.5 mm thick wall and circular and/or non-circular cross-section and/or are bent on radius. The radius is not less than 1/8 times internal size of the smallest side of bed. The crosspieces bent on radius are turned with their convex surfaces oppositely to the backs or in concordance with orientation of the backs.

EFFECT: reduced structure weight; increased strength and comfort given to patients and nurses.
