FIELD: transmissions with flexible link, manufacture of transmissions with internal gearing.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises process of gear cutting of blank during two stages by means of standard gear-cutting tool being axially shifted. In order to make straight-teeth involute gear wheel with internal gearing to be used as sprockets for chain transmissions with sleeve-roller chains, at first stage gear cutter is used for cutting by depth equal to designed height of tooth of sprocket. Value of radial shifting factor is selected according to given formula. At second stage blank is turned by angle determined according to given expression and process of gear cutting is repeated for removing metal only at one side of teeth for providing width of recess necessary for placing roller of chain.
EFFECT: simplified process of making high quality sprockets.
