SUBSTANCE: invention relates to (DL)-1-hydroxy-3,7,7,9,9-pentamethyl-1,4,8-triazaspiro[4,5]decane-2-one of the formula (1) 
.
Also, invention describes a method for preparing this compound by treatment of DL-alanine hydroxamic acid with ketone wherein aminoketone - 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-4-one is used as ketone, and process is carried out in benzene medium in the mole ratio of reagents: α-aminohydroxamic acid : aminoketone = 1:1.1 followed by isolation of the end product. Invention provides preparing new compound that can be used as a nontoxic antimetastatic medicinal agent.
EFFECT: improved preparing method, valuable medicinal properties of compound.
