FIELD: organic chemistry, building materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cationic bitumen emulsions that are used as a binding material for making and repairing road cover and can be used for rough-surface treatment and pitted repairing the road cover. Bitumen emulsion comprises the following components, wt.-%: bitumen, 66-69; hydrochloric or acetic acid, 0.20-0.24; amine emulsifier, 0.3-3.0; latex, 2.0-6.0, and water, the balance. Latex represents cation-active aqueous dispersion based on butadiene and styrene with the content of dry matter 64%, and amine emulsifier has the following general formula: RCH(OH)CH2-NHR1NH2 wherein R means aliphatic radical (C20-C26) or (C26-C28); R1 means (CH2)6- or -(CH2CH2NH)nCH2CH2 wherein n = 1, 2. Bitumen emulsion provides improvement of adhesion properties, among them strength adhesion of binding film with mineral materials of both acid and basic rocks, provides enhancing stretchability and elasticity of a binding agent. Durability of road cover with rough-surface treatment carrying out with using a binding agent is enhanced by 2-2.5-fold.
