FIELD: plastic metalworking; manufacture of thin-sheet rolled stock in wide-strip mill.
SUBSTANCE: cooling is performed in the course of rewinding by dipping section of strip in cooling liquid, water, for example at temperature not above 40 C; during cooling, tensile stress of about 0.2-0.6 of yield point of metal is smoothly applied to section of strip; besides that, strip is subjected to bending performed for at least five time in rewinding zone; bending is effected in opposite directions in plane perpendicular to plane of strip and direction of rewinding; inner radius of each bend is equal to 20-50 thicknesses of strip being cooled; rate of rotation of roll is reduced as its diameter increases owing to which strip has constant linear velocity in rewinding zone corresponding to duration τ of presence of each section of strip in cooling liquid required for cooling the roll to temperature not below 100 C determined from the following equation: τ=k*t s, where k is coefficient equal to 2-8 and t is thickness of strip being cooled, mm. Device proposed for realization of this method includes reeler and unreeler whose axes are horizontal and parallel; unreeler is provided with brake and reeler is provided with drive; located between unreeler and reeler is tank filled with cooling liquid, water for example; tank is provided with two guide rollers mounted at one level below surface of liquid; distance between guide rollers is equal to 3.2-6 of width of strip; at least five straightening rollers of same diameter are mounted in zone between guide rollers at equal distance and pitch equal to 130-120 thicknesses of strip being cooled; diameter of these rollers is 40-100 thicknesses of strip being cooled; their axes are parallel to axes of guide rollers and are located in staggered order relative to horizontal plane with is tangential to cylindrical surface of each guide roller in its lower point; each straightening roller may shift in vertical direction towards said horizontal plane by 2-30 thicknesses of strip.
EFFECT: increased productivity.
