FIELD: production of electrodes.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with production of production of electrodes, in particular, with production of anodic mass for an anode of an aluminum electrolyzer. The invention allows to increase efficiency of production of the anodic mass with reception of the mass with its best properties for concrete conditions at the expense of operating regulation of the production process. The method provides for preparation of ingredients of a pitch coke composition, formation of samples for a technological study, definition and evaluation of the samples quality, regulation of the process of production of the anodic mass by changing of the quantitative components ratio in the composition and-or a degree of comminution of coke by the results of the evaluation. For the technological study they form a series of samples of a binding matrix. The binding matrix is prepared out of a dust with the given degree of comminution changing with a step of no more than by 5 %, and with a dust content being within the limits of 30-60 % with a constant share of the binding agent. For a binding matrix with the best results of quality determine an index of the binding matrix structure equal to a ratio of the adsorptive surface of the dust faction to the share of binding agent in the binding matrix, in compliance with which adjust the process of production of the anodic mass.

EFFECT: the invention ensures an increase of efficiency of production of the anodic mass with the best properties for concrete conditions.
