FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the anode mass production for the aluminum cell self-baking anode. Method comprises the coke batch mixing with the pitch binder with the anode mass production and the anode mass mixing quality determination. Before the coke batch with the baking pitch mixing, of the coke batch samples are sampled, and after mixing, are the resulting anode mass samples. Samples are crushed and scattered with separation of fractions of -2.0+1.0 mm in size. For the obtained coke batch and anode mass fractions, the of the vibrational volumetric density and the apparent density values are determined using helium as the filling medium. From the obtained values, the coke batch and the anode mass fractions porosity is calculated. Anode mass mixing quality is determined from the coke batch with the binder pitch impregnation degree.
EFFECT: enabling increase in the anode mass quality.
