FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for location of hi-jacked vehicles. According to proposed method signals from satellite radio navigation system are separated, time and speed of vehicle are determined and information pack is formed including vehicle number code. Said information pack is transmitted through cellular communication system to central dispatcher station. When driver gets out of vehicle, security code is recorded in vehicle controller and timer is set to definite time period at the expiration of which security code is added to information pack transmitted to central dispatcher station which is identified at dispatcher station as signal of connection of alarm. And if vehicle starts moving without its owner and provision of security code hi-jack code is introduced into information pack which is identified at dispatcher station as alarm signal and all required measured are taken in this case.
EFFECT: reduced time take to reveal fact of hi-jacking and locate the vehicle.
