DUST-TRAP CYCLONE TYPE APPARATUS FOR VACUUM CLEANER Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: vacuum cleaners, namely cyclone type dust trap devices of vacuum cleaners.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes cyclone housing provided with double-construction unit. Said unit has first outer cylinder and first inner cylinder, both are open at lower side. Apparatus also includes air intake and air discharge, both connected to upper surface of housing in zone of upper surface of inner cylinder for passing air with dust particles and contamination matters through air-intake and for forming cyclone flow. Cyclone housing has at least one first port for discharging contamination matters. Said port is formed near lower side of inner cylinder for draining contamination matters separated by action of centrifugal force of cyclone flow into space between first inner cylinder and first outer cylinder. Receptacle for collecting dust particles and contamination matters is detachably mounted on cyclone housing for trapping matters separated from air by means of cyclone flow created inside cyclone housing. Receptacle has inner space divided by first volume for trapping dust particles and contamination matters and second volume for trapping dust particles and contamination matters by means of double-construction unit having second outer cylinder corresponding to first outer cylinder and second inner cylinder corresponding to first inner cylinder. Receptacle also includes at least one second port for discharging contamination matters near lower side of second inner cylinder for draining them from first volume. Grid is mounted in beginning of air discharge portion inside cyclone housing. It prevents passing of reverse flow of contamination matters separated from air through air-discharge part.

EFFECT: improved design, enhanced efficiency of collecting dust particles and contamination matters of all types and separating them from air flow.
