FIELD: engine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: connecting rod comprises two rod members and vibration damping member. One rod member is connected with the piston head, and the other one is connected with the crank head. The vibration damping member is secured to the free ends of the rod members. A cylindrical Y-shaped vibration damping member is interposed between the connecting rod heads in the middle part of the rod.
EFFECT: reduced level of vibration and noise of engine and enhanced reliability.
