FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine building. A two-stroke two-piston internal combustion engine contains a cylinder head, a cylinder block equipped with purge ports in one of the cylinders, and exhaust ports in the other, pistons moving in said cylinders generally unidirectionally, each of which controls the purge and exhaust, respectively. It also contains a mechanism for converting the reciprocating movement of the pistons into the rotational movement of the crankshaft by means of one common V-shaped connecting rod with two piston heads and pistons pivotally connected thereto. Moreover, the pistons are connected to the piston heads of the connecting rod by means of two piston pins in the form of two-movable hinges, which provide the mechanism with 2 degrees of freedom, and the pistons have the possibility of additional self-oscillating movement.
EFFECT: increased fuel efficiency due to the use of effective direct-flow blowing, improved specific weight and dimensions.
